Transformers Prime Season One Blu-ray LE Set

Franchises are an interesting thing. What used to take decades for people to want to reinvent properties, we now see franchises being rebooted almost continuously. Spider-Man is about to receive another treatment of this concept and Superman seems to be following suit as well. Transformers had their most recent reboot with the movie franchise but now we see an even newer reboot with Transformers Prime. The series seems to have taken elements of the movie franchise, the original G1 series, and aspects of the other cartoon series that have come and gone. I got a chance to take a look at the season one Blu-ray set and I was pleasantly surprised with what I saw. Take a look at a review of the Blu-ray set and the accompanying comic book by IDW.
...

Boycott Ghost Rider?

With the release of the newest Ghost Rider film - Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance - it would seem odd that fans are boycotting the film, but that is just what people are doing. In what would be perfect or imperfect timing, depending upon your side of things, Marvel/Disney has recently won a suit against Ghost Rider co-creator Gary Friedrich and the results of the suit are interesting indeed in the implications for Friedrich and his future livelihood. What is the boycott trying to achieve, whom is behind it, and what do I think about the whole situation? Read an editorial of the boycott of Ghost Rider to find out and make up your own mind.
...

To be honest, I hadn't heard about the plight of the people of Africa until the press release dropped about this endeavor. What is this campaign all about and how can you help? Here we have a new take on what these three have been doing in the world of crime comics and the first issue was very good. Does the second issue live up the first? Are there any questions answered or are we left hanging in the wind? I'm happy to report that chapter two has a lot going for it and this is one comic to watch for the best comic of 2o12. Read a review of Fatale #2 to find out why.
...

Is My Comic Worth Cash Or Trash?

I get asked all the time if a comic book is worth something. Sometimes the comic in question is exciting to find out as it is a classic, but other times I get questions about comic books that there is no way they could be worth anything. How is someone not in the know about the comic book market able to discern whether or not it is worth something? Check out this list of indicators that should give you a good idea if it will be worth the time to move forward in finding the value of that comic book. Be careful though as the world of comic books can be a tricky place to find the real value in today's marketplace.
...

DC's The New 52 Second Wave

DC is mixing it up again with the announcement that six titles are being cancelled and six more will rise up to take their place. DC had really strong ending to 2011 with fantastic sales of their relaunch of the DC Universe in 52 new comic books that started the DCU over and attempted to wipe away all the messy continuity of the past decades worth of storytelling. In my opinion, DC made some very interesting additions to The New 52 lineup that just might put them back where they started from. I really hope they stay the course and don't back up on this new universe they have created by muddying the waters too much with their alternate reality additions. Read who got cut and who got added to The New 52 - Second Wave.
...
