Make-It-Over Monday Craft Challenge

Remember, submissions are still being accepted for any and all past Make-It-Over Craft Challenges, including the pirate craft challenge. You can submit your ideas using this simple form.

Now, here is where I would normally introduce the new craft theme or craft item and challenge you to submit related crafts. Do you notice there is no picture or new challenge issued? That is because I am rethinking this weekly feature. Submissions have dropped off so much that I am starting to think that perhaps our Make-it-Over Monday craft challenges have run their course?

I have not made any firm decisions about this yet. I really am torn because I do love issuing the challenges and then seeing what people come up with; however, I have to wonder if perhaps everyone is ready to try something else. If you have any ideas, I am open to hearing them. Feel free to use the comment feature on this post. For the time being, I am simply going to continue to try to decide how to move forward with this feature and I will post more news about it next week!

Make-It-Over Monday Craft Challenge

This is week number two of the current craft challenge. Are you working on a pirate craft project to submit? I hope so!

Make anything pirate related and submit it to be featured here. You can make anything from boats and eye patches to parrots and treasure chests! I bet you can think of something amazing! Take some time, make a craft, and then show it off!.

You can share your simple ideas and tips using the comments feature on this blog post, but to get your project possibly featured in the next Make-It-Over Monday blog post, please submit it using this simple form. Spotlight Crafts - Homemade Beads, Chair Make-Over, More

This week you can make bowls, re-fashion an office chair, make your own beads, and much more. Which will you try first?

How to Make Bowls Using CDs - Believe it or not, you can create little bowls out of CDs. Make sure you do this craft in a well-ventilated area. Any children working on this project should be closely supervised. I would suggest having the adult deal with the heating of the CD and let any children be involved with decorating the cooled CD bowls.

Tissue Heart Picture - Follow these instructions for making a fun heart picture using tissue paper - submitted by H. Marie.

Reupholstered Office Chair - If you are tired of using a boring office chair, use these instructions to reupholster the chair to fit your personality. I did this for the inexpensive chair I use when I sit in front of my sewing machine. The chair cost me $20.00, but I think it now looks like a million bucks! This would also make a fun gift for a student or a graduate.

Paper Plate Heart Pocket - Use these step-by-step directions to fashion a heart-shaped treat holder out of 3 paper plates.

Make Your Own Paper Beads - Find out how to make your own beads using strips cut from from magazines, catalogs, and even junk mail.

Stuffed Football Craft - Check out these directions for making footballs out of paper bags. These are great for decorations!

Soda Pop Can Cow - Why not make an entire herd of these tiny cows! They don't all have to be black and white, you can get creative and make them in many different colors.
