Hard to believe that Jarno Trulli has been relieved of his job as a driver at the Caterham team to make way for Vitaly Petrov, the Russian driver who raced the last two years at Renault. Trulli has been racing in Formula 1 since 1997, and this year he was the last remaining Italian driver in the series.

Coming Together at Caterham

Drag Reduction System Remains

Autosport today has reported that it has learned that the FIA has decided to leave the Drag Reduction System the same in 2012 as it was in 2011. The DRS was one of things that contributed to more exciting racing in 2011 as it permitted cars to overtake more easily, when drivers were able to move their car's rear wing in a DRS zone if they were within a second of car ahead.

Valencia Wants to Renegotiate F1 Fee

With all the financial problems in Spain, Valencia wants to renegotiate its deal to run the Formula 1 race - the European Grand Prix - which is one of two races run in Spain. Valencia pays tens of millions of dollars to stage the race, and the local government wants to play less on that and look at other big events too.
