More Cities Offering Free Condoms for Teens

Of all the reasons teens have for not using a condom lack of availability is one of the easiest to fix.

A few places have been working on that project for a while now. I know that when I was in high school back in the nineties, a condom machine appeared in the bathroom at school one day out of the blue.

Washington, Now the 7th State to Allow Gay Marriage

As of 11:30 this morning, Washington became the 7th state to allow legal, same sex marriage!

The measure was approved last Wednesday in a 55-43 vote in the state House of Representatives and will likely take effect sometime in early June.

Valentine's Day, Condom Month and Other Safe Sex Tidbits

Did you know that February isn't only the month of Valentine's Day, groundhogs and presidents? Nope, it is also somewhat officially known as "National Condom Month."

Condoms aren't perfect. They can be hard to find, interrupt the mood and feel a little funny at first. But most people who use condoms regularly get used to them and realize that they really aren't such a big deal. And right now, they are you're best shot for staying safe in a world where HIV rates are holding steady, where antibiotic-resistant types of gonorrhea are on the rise and where gay and lesbian teens still need to worry about pregnancies.

News on Gay Marriage

It is a day that has been a few years coming, but this morning, a federal appeals court ruled that Prop 8, a voter-approved ban on same-sex marriage in California violated the Constitution. This makes it almost certain that the case will move on to the United States Supreme Court.
