Top Shot S4E2: BAR, Grenade Launcher, and Fireworks?

Top Shot rocks on, with the iconic and legendary BAR military rifle, a super-duper revolving six-shot semi-automatic 40mm grenade launcher, and uncomfortable moments between two team members of different genders. I suppose we're all supposed to care about who acts loose with whom, but it looks pretty stupid and I really want to see some shooting instead of flirting and posing. But the guns were mighty cool, and I felt more than just a twinge of jealousy as I watched the competition.
...

Is it Safe to Shoot a Shotgun Slug with a Screw-in Choke?

Sometimes yes, and sometimes no. It depends mostly on the choke tube - and one should only use certain types of slugs depending on the barrel and choke on the gun. It's an interesting quandary which you might enjoy reading about.
...

Review: Peregrine Quick-Shot Shotgun and Rifle Holster

I'm always looking for ways to make my life easier, especially when it comes to toting guns. Long guns can be pretty awkward sometimes, and improving the way we carry them is a worthwhile endeavor - especially if it causes us to carry our guns in a safer manner. This product helps accomplish both of those goals, even if it isn't totally perfect...
...

Top Shot has made it to season 4, and they celebrated by sending 3 shooters home on the first episode. Instead, you'll find details/commentary/opinion at the article linked below. In this episode, world champions lose out while beautiful ladies move on. Enjoy!
...

Review: Frankford Arsenal Ammo Vault Slip Top Locking 20 Round Ammunition Box

This is my chosen box when I need a solid box for my rifle ammo. I like the fact that the top locks onto the bottom, so the top won't slip off and dump your ammo everywhere - and that's especially important when you have more than one load in a box (as when you're testing reloads, etc). It can also be useful for transporting factory ammo also, but don't forget to cut the end flap off the factory box and tape it to this box so you know what load you've got.
...

Before You Buy a Used Rifle

I love buying used stuff. I usually buy my vehicles, houses, and many other things second-hand - including most of my guns. Every now and then I do bite the bullet and buy something brand spanking new, but quite often that doesn't make sense financially. Sure, used guns lack that brand-new look and feel, but you can almost always get a used gun for less than buying new, and that often helps a lot. Of course, there are usually more questionable aspects of a used gun versus a new one, and that's where this article comes in...
...

Don't Aim High, Hunters!

Many's the buck or bull that walked away from an encounter with a hunter because the hunter thought the critter was farther away than it really was, or that his or her gun didn't shoot as flat as it really does. Here's the thing - they usually ain't that far away, and the majority of guns in the hunting woods these days shoot flat enough that they'll reach way on out there and still hit within the kill zone. Read on to learn more...
...

Review/Profile: Winchester Model 62A Pump (Slide) Action Rifle

You could say that this rifle was born in the 1800s, but that doesn't mean it's outdated or that it can't keep up with any modern 22 rifle. On the contrary - in many ways it's superior to some of its modern counterparts. While this particular gun has been "rode hard and put away wet," it's still very functional and dependable, and can be easily taken down to a short length if you need to conserve space. Check it out - the 62A is a nice old rifle that deserves respect and admiration.
...
