			<description>&lt;p&gt;Congress has passed legislation extending &lt;a href=&quot;http://clk.about.com/?zi=1/1hc&amp;#038;zu=http://jobsearch.about.com/od/unemployment/a/unempextension.htm&quot;&gt;federal unemployment benefits&lt;/a&gt; for the long-term unemployed through the end of 2012. The unemployment extensions currently in place will remain until May.&lt;/p&gt;
