The OLTL Character That Fans Loved to Hate!

One of my favorite bad girls from One Life to Live besides Dorian Lord, was most definitely Alex Olanov, played by the beautiful and talented actress Tonja Walker. Not only was her character a real hoot to watch, but she was about the only woman on the show that always managed to keep coming back time and time again even after all her evil deeds. And boy, who could forget one of the best weddings in Llanview when Alex became Asa Buchanan's eight wife in a cermony right out the golden age of Egypt. How fitting was it also that Alex was able to get the deed to Asa's St. Blaze's Island, even though poor Nigel was really the one Asa had left it to. It's really too bad that the show ended right after it was revealed that Alex was also the mother of two Llanview cons, Cutter and Kim. I would have loved to see that storyline unfold even further, and to see the moment when Kim confronted Alex, especially since we already saw Cutter's confrontation when he tried to strangle her.

"The Revolution Is Dead"

Once again, here is the latest information on ABC's Daytime Line-Up:

"The View on ABC stood well above the other network talkers, of course, with 3.66 million viewers, a 1.5 rating among women 25-54 and a 1.1 in women 18-49 for the week of Feb. 6. The Chew, also on ABC, has narrowed the gap versus year-ago occupant All My Children, with a four-week high in women 25-54. But recent alphabet net entry The Revolution remains a colossal miss.

Spotlight on Jack Manning!

Did you know that Llanview's Jack Manning once forced Shane Morasco to steal for him, and later pushed him to the point of considering suicide? Boy, what a character Jack was! Perhaps his evil ways came from the fact that his own father sold him to another couple right after he was born. Of course Todd didn't know that Jack was really his son, and he did get him back, but it sure left a mark with Jack later on. The sad part is when the new actor came aboard to take over the role of Jack Manning they really did make him out to be quite the evil teenager. This was not exactly the same cute little brother of Starr that they had portrayed beforehand, so it was hard for fans to really like him very much. Towards the end of OLTL we finally started to see a good side to Jack, but of course it seems now that we will never know if he really redeemed himself or not.

"ABC�s 'The Revolution' Continues to Spiral Downward"

Updated Reported News on ABC's The Revolution:

"The scenario continues to worsen. Based on the Live Plus Same Day ratings for the week of January 30, week three of ABC daytime talk show The Revolution dipped to 1.44 million viewers, which is now half the audience of year-ago occupant One Life to Live (2.85 million viewers for the week of 1/31/11). Erosion in the three key demos -- women 25-54, women 18-49 and women 18-34 -- is also 50 percent as illustrated."

Celebrate Llanview Event Recap - New!

Yes, that is Llanview's former Cutter Wentworth with a full beard! Actor Josh Kelly recently joined other One Life to Live cast members at the Celebrate Llanview event. This fan event was held in Chicago last month on the same day ABC aired the final show of OLTL. I had set up access for a fellow OLTL fan to attend this event in order to give us a recap of this special Llanview celebration with the stars. Diane was also able to grab a few photos of some of our favorite characters from the show. Hope you enjoy, and thanks Diane for your contribution!

Here is the latest news and rating on ABC's replacement show for One Life to Live:

The Revolution Loses Steam in Week Two
"The news is not positive for new ABC daytime talker The Revolution. Based on the Live Plus Same Day ratings for the week of January 23, week two of The Revolution averaged 1.53 million viewers, which was off by nine percent from its already abysmal opening week (1.68 million for Jan. 23-27).

Former One Life to Live actress Kristen Alderson has delighted fans with her recent Tweet, "Just signed my General Hospital contract! 3 years! Here we go... You guys ready!? YAY"

Alderson will reprise her role as Starr Manning, which is great news for fans of OLTL who are looking forward to seeing some of their favorite Llanview characters again.
