I had the chance to see a wonderful play at the Arden Theater last weekend. Clybourne Park picks up where A Raisin in the Sun left off, offering a provocative, hilarious, and intimate view into a home, a neighborhood, and its residents, and how they change (and stay the same) over time. This 2011 Pulitzer Prize winner for drama explores complex issues around race and gentrification with insight, honesty, and an incredible sense of humor. Catch it at the Arden on its extended run through March 25th.

Plant a Tree Philly

Philadelphia Parks and Recreation just launched Tree Philly as part of the Mayor's Greenworks initiative to add 300,000 trees to the city by 2015. The city will be giving away thousands of trees to residents and business owners who can agree to plant them and give them the TLC needed to grown big and strong. Apply online by March 31st to bring more shade and oxygen to your neighborhood.
